The New Year

I can't say that January flew by because it seems like it dragged on forever. There is something about being pregnant, having two little kids and being stuck inside all day that make the days seem very long. But we are surviving.

January started off with 2 very sick kids. Parker had to have a breathing treatment 3 times a day, as seen above, and the kids were uncomfortable and cranky, but they did sleep a lot. In fact, at the end of the day we would find that Parker 'put himself to bed.' He would go in his room and close the door and when we went in to check on him, we would find him asleep on his bed. Although, sometimes they just wanted to be held until they fell asleep.

Autumn loves her new crocs. She wants us to put them on, then she takes them off and brings them back to us. This process is repeated until we distract her with something else.
Parker and Autumn have spent a lot of quality time together.
They love bouncing their bouncy balls in the kitchen.
And then chasing after them.
Autumn has become our little climber and climbs up on everything. She climbed up on this cooler and was so proud of herself.
Of course Parker wanted to get in the picture too.
She slides the chair around and climbs up to get to what she wants. These chairs tip over so easily, so it is a battle all day long. I realize that this is a normal thing for a child to do, but it is such a difference from Parker, who just now got brave enough to do this from watching Autumn. Even then, he won't stand on the chair, only kneel.Sometimes when we are putting Parker's underwear on, Autumn runs to his drawer and gets some too. She gives them to you and then sits on your lap (That means she wants you to put them on her). And she cries if we don't. She loves doing anything Parker is doing.
Just some more pictures of Autumn

Christmas in Phoenix

Our Christmas was spent in Phoenix at Paul's brother, Steven's house. Christmas morning was a big gathering and we were able to let everyone know about the new addition to our family. It was fun to watch Parker get excited about all of his presents and Autumn mostly liked tearing the wrapping paper.

It was so much fun to be with Paul's entire family, all in one house. The cousins had a lot of time to play and so did the rest of us. Every night after the kids were in bed, the adults starting playing games until the wee hours of the morning.

Pre-Christmas Festivities

The Christmas season always ends up being an especially busy time of year for us and this year was no different. Paul had finals and was trying to keep up with his ongoing job search, I did the Christmas shopping while entertaining 2 little ones and being in the first trimester of pregnancy, and we all tried to keep up with the many Christmas parties and gatherings going on around us. We were able to have some Christmas fun of our own, putting up our Christmas tree, playing in the snow, and building a Gingerbread House.
