On 11-11-11, Paul turned 30 years old! We had a small present party at home before heading out to Arches for the weekend. Paul's birthday is on Veteran's Day, so he gets the day off of work. This year Paul wanted to go to Arches for his birthday, so we took off after lunch and made it there in time to see a few Arches before the sun went down (Turret Arch and the Windows). (It also happened to be free National Parks Weekend; just another birthday surprise for all of us.) At dusk, we headed to our hotel in Moab. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub with the kids and had some traditional birthday apple pie before getting some sleep. The next morning, we enjoyed the hotel breakfast, packed a lunch and headed out to see more Arches. We saw Double Arch, hiked to the viewpoint of Delicate Arch , and finished with Tunnel Arch, Pine Tree Arch and Landscape Arch. We stopped somewhere in the middle to have lunch at the a view point. Arches is very kid friendly and we all had a great adventture! Happy Birthday Paul! You really are the best husband and father! We are so lucky to have you!
Parker and Autumn thought that this looked like a key.
